Nuclear Advancements After the Manhattan Project   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  When the first atomic bomb was detonated in Alamogordo New Mexico on June 16, 1945, all the scientists involved in the Manhattan Project understood the great destructive power of radio-active isotopes. Although the atomic bomb was a very destructive force our world would not be as good without it. Because of the government funding involved in the project coupled with the need for an atom bomb, much research that otherwise may not have occurred took place in the US. The Manhattan project opened the door to nuclear advancements and applications.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  After World War II atomic research escalated into a frenzy. Many countries were trying to duplicate what America had done. The great arms race had begun. Although these countries knew the destructive power of the atom, they did not fully understand its more peace-full side, a side which helps us today with so much. The atom is used for many things in today’s world. For example nuclear power plants are a much cheaper way of creating electricity. However, not only are they cheaper but they also help conserve the earth’s resources. Instead of burning millions of metric tons of coal in a year and polluting the air with harmful carbons, nuclear plants use fuel rods as their energy. Sir Gawain & the Green Knight

Middle English love is that of abiding the rules of chivalry and the subservience to God. Within Sir Gawain and The Green Knight, love is emanated within this form of a romantic poem. This fifteenth century poem was written with all the characteristics of love and its challenges that so often come with it. The story of the intrusive Green knight ends up having a twist that confronts the norms that knights have adopted. Sir Gawain, a model for knights in the Arthurian kingdom, ultimately redefines himself and his love for all codes of his kingdom manner.Through this romantic journey the model knight will rediscover the truth through deception. The many forms of love including chivalry, spiritual and courtly love will become strengthened through the Green knight challenge. Chivalry is a common theme within Sir Gawain, â€Å"By champions of chivalry achieved in arms. † (95) From the dinner scene in part one to the illustrious battle at the Green Chapel in Part 3. The love of keep ing their virtues was imbedded in all aspects of the story.Sir Gawain was the epitome for these virtues, through his valiant journey to the Green Chapel and strong will against the lady of the house. â€Å"With the pentangle portrayed in purest gold. † (620) The five points of pentangle represent his perfection over evil. He loves being faultless in decisions that as long as he stays to the five points the Lord would keep him. With the five points on the front of his shield and Mother Mary on the back he had all the armor one needed. A great romance mustn’t be left without spiritual love, especially to a chivalric knight.Gawain’s truth to his faith has him praying for help, â€Å"that Mary may be his guide. † (738) His prayers were answered soon after from which a â€Å"wondrous dwelling [appeared]. † (763) The great feasts also show the love of their God for the extravagant meals that are abundantly shown. â€Å"Great is God’s grace, and g oodly indeed. † (920) Which is expressed for the gratitude of Gawain’s presence. The importance and love of faith in Gawain’s quest does not come without its trials. The lovely lady of the house became another test of his chivalry and faith. With guile in her heart,† (1472) she makes several attempts to test Gawain’s strength. With her permission to â€Å"lay on as you like,† (1503) she also uses her cunning to pursue and manipulate his love. â€Å"For loyal faith in love, in life as in story,† (1513) she tempts him with courtly love to abide by the chivalrous approach. To have relations while her â€Å"husband is not nearby,† (1533) from which was made under thrice. â€Å"The two converse as friends of true love’s trials and bliss,† (1506) this spoken from the narrator hints to love being a state of suffering within the story.Although they may love and suffer Gawain becomes better for it. Through his mistakes over love and faith it eventually leads him to a better understanding and a united brotherhood with the green girdle. The significance of the knight’s honor and brotherhood is mentioned throughout. â€Å"To counsel their comrade, with care in their hearts,† (558) after love for God the counsel and brotherhood is most important. Their â€Å"beneficence boundless and brotherly love,† (652) was shown before Gawain took forth.Even after Gawain confessed to the kingdom that he had not met his journey with success he was still comforted by the king. â€Å"The king comforts the knight, and the court all together. † (2513) Gawain wore the â€Å"badge of false faith that [he] was found in there. † (2509) As a sign of deep support and love by his fellow brothers, he was met with all bearing the green sash. Clearly it is evident that love plays a crucial role in Sir Gawain and The Green Knight. Although the love is enduring for Gawain it was not as it seemed.The t rue love is what ended up being his true suffering. Gawain’s struggles through keeping his five points of perfection, his composure with the lovely lady and the brotherhood that supported him no matter what the outcome. Working with such large files means that youll also need a powerful computer. A fast processor (CPU) and plenty of memory (RAM) will make it much easier to transfer and edit video. Transfer Edit Your Video Whichever video capture option you use—a special video card, a video capture card or a DVD recorder —the steps for capturing and editing the video from your camcorder or VCR are basically the same: Make the connections. Now is also the time to delete the boring stuff and edit out dead time, like the 20 minutes of footage you took with the lens cap on! Generally, this process is as easy as drag and drop. You can eliminate choppiness in the final product by adding cool transitions from scene to scene, such as fades and page turns. Other special features you may want to play with include titles, photos, narration, menus and background music. Create Your DVD When youre satisfied with your edited movies, its time to transfer them to DVD. Again the software will walk you through the steps. Just as with import, youll probably be given a choice of quality settings. For the best image quality limit the video you save on a single DVD to an hour or less. Choose a high-quality DVD-R or DVDR disk (not the rewritable version) on which to burn your video. Make at least one backup copy as well, maybe more if you plan to delete the digital video from your computers hard drive. Other Options for Transferring Video to DVD If you dont have a computer, there are options available for transferring video to DVD, sans PC, using a DVD recorder unit. If you want to do any editing before burning to DVD, youll need a DVD recorder unit with a hard drive. Fancy editing is still best done on a computer, however. Alternatively, you can pay a professional to convert your VHS tapes to DVD, although this service doesnt usually come cheap.

He was never technically king, but he came close to having the powers of a king, but he got killed before he could become one. He is pretty stubborn while being p retty manipulative Just like almost every character in the play. I don’t feel like he will be a good king just because of his arrogance. He also had his good qualities like being a military astermind. Caesar shows us his arrogance throughout the play. For example in Act 1 Scene 2 he says â€Å"Such men as he be never at heart’s ease Whiles they behold a greater than themselves, and therefore are they very dangerous. I rather tell thee what is to be fear’d than what I fear, for always I am Caesar† . In this quote we can see that is Caesar unashamed of how arrogant he is being. This arrogance would cause him to do other errors like he did later in the story like ignoring his wife’s dream He was great ruler because he led Rome in the right direction, but by doing so, in the process he was an arrogant and selfish ruler. He was great for Rome as a ruler but not for the people. Just like Brutus said in Act 2 Scene 1 â€Å"And therefore think him as a serpent’s egg which, natch’d, would, as his kind, grow mischievous, and ill shell. † Here Brutus is comparing Caesar to a â€Å"Serpent’s Egg† that is should be destroyed before it hatches and becomes dangerous if he becomes king. They are not afraid of him ecause he is a tyrant but will become one if he becomes the king of Rome. In the book Julius Caesar manipulation seems like a varsity sport. In Act 2 Scene 1 Caesar really deceives the Romans. He is putting a show and refusing that he doesn’t want the crown, even though he would secretly love it deep inside. He thinks that refusal to the crown in front of the public is a smart political tactic to get people to love him and think he less ambitious or for lack of better word desperate. The study is focusing on an interview session between one of the colleagues of ABC Limited and a student of a university. The applied methodologies for undertaking the interview process will be discussed in this study. The extracted findings from this interview session will be aligned with the theoretical perspectives to explain the importance of the interpersonal communication. Focusing on such theoretical perspectives, the suitable recommendations would be provided accordingly. Applied Methodology for the Interview The research is based on the establishment of the communicational transparency between the employees and the employers. This particular report aims to identify the communicational errors that might take place within an organisation. The primary data derived in this segment will be analysed through the application of the relevant methodology. The qualitative data collection process has been used in this study. Hence, it is required to apply the proper sequential methodology that will be helpful enough in recognising the underlying issues or efficiencies maintained by the employer. The student has undertaken this face-to-face interview by selecting an employee of ABC Limited. Shelley, the waitress of ABC Limited shared her experiences with the skilful interpersonal communication maintained in ABC Limited. The interview process has been selected as the research strategy and it includes the open ended questions. The findings from this interview will be specified in the further section. Findings The interview included the open ended questions, which were directly answered by one of the casual employee of ABC Limited. The employee reflected the different aspects associated with the organisational behaviour. It is to be indicated that the interpersonal communication is the key force for motivating the employees and bringing out the best outcomes of their performance. The positive surrounding within a workplace is necessary for the skilled outcomes of the employees performance. The interview has been highlighting that the employees are provided with the proper communication system through the arrangements of the weekly meeting. More specifically, apart from getting the proper training and development session, the seniors have been also much helpful towards the casual junior employees. The employees get the pay off for the extra shifts and split shifts. The rewards and the recognition systems are also much remarkable, as the company set a target for each of the employees in a sp ecial festival. However, one of the major recognisable issue is the casual employees have no job security and they are not provided with the extra facilities of leaves same as the facilities provided to the permanent employees. The specification of this particular issue has been the major concern in such case. In determining the interpersonal communication skill, it can be inferred that the horizontal communication process requires the effective communication transparency with all level of the employees. However, the mismanagement in such cases may create the situational crisis in retaining the employees even if they are much motivated. Discussion and Interpretation Even the communication and the flexibility within the workplace are also quite motivating. According to Monaghan, Goodman and Robinson (2012), the interpersonal communication is the process of exchanging the information through verbal and non-verbal messages within the workplace. The business communication process is discriminated into two different sections, such as external communication and internal communication. Fussell and Kreuz (2014) opined that the external communication is a process of exchanging information with the external stakeholders associated with the organisational purposes. On the other hand, the internal communication is signified as the process of exchanging the information among the people who are associated with the internal process. The internal communication process is also classified into two components, such as horizontal communication and vertical communication (Monaghan, Goodman and Robinson 2012). Horizontal communication reflects the communication that flows in a parallel way whereas the vertical communication signifies the flow of the information among the subordinates and other seniors of the organisation. The interview with the employee of ABC Limited is specifying that the company has been maintaining the horizontal communication process, as the managers have been communicating with the employees. The arrangements of the weekly meetings are effective enough in extracting the feedbacks from the employees. It is even helpful in monitoring the performance skills of the employees. However, one thing can be pointed out from this interview session that the casual employees do not get the facilities same as the permanent employees (Berger 2014). For example, if any permanent employee falls sick, the person can avail the sick leave, which determines the paid leave. On the other hand, the casual employee cannot get the sick leave and it becomes non-paid. In keeping focus on this issue, it can be inferred that the transparent communication between the casual employees and the upper level. The answer of this particular employee in this interview section is somewhat biased in this regard. Hence, the improvement in this aspect is necessary. As per the Conversion theory of persuasion, it can be stated that the minority group usually influences the majority group in a disproportionate manner. It means, the majority structure sometimes is much susceptible due to the lack of alternatives. On the other hand, the minority people feel more consistent in this manner. The information manipulation theory has been depended on four major aspects. These aspects are quantity, quality, relation, and manner (Gass and Seiter 2015). The concentration on these aspects is necessary while extracting information about the organisational communication process. Conclusion The study has been highlighting the communication process undertaken by the organisation named ABC Limited. The university student conducted an interview session with one of the casual employees of this company. The application of the proper methodological structure has been used for extracting the relevant information regarding such aspect. The response derived from the employee has been signifying that the organisational process is quite encouraging and motivating for the employees. However, the casual employees do not avail much of the facilities than the permanent employees. However, the horizontal communication process maintained in the organisation requires improvisation. Recommendation The diversified departments and practices undertake by ABC Limited is quite motivating and encouraging for the employees. However, the major issue has been specified in distributing the equal facilities among the casual and the permanent employees. It has been seen that the casual employees are often ask for the extra shifts if any of the employees falls sick. However, when these causal employees fall sick, they can take the leave but this will not be taken as the sick leave and it will be non-paid. On the other hand, the permanent employees get benefitted with the sick leaves and other facilities. Hence, it is important to keep the concentration on the overall benefits for the casual employees as well. However, the horizontal communication needs improvisation more specifically. The arrangements of the weekly meetings with the lower level employees should include the agenda regarding the facilities that are beneficial for them.
